The rehabilitation team of professionals at the Brown County Hospital is dedicated to returning you to your full functional activities in the shortest possible time. Our programs are individually tailored to meet your specific needs.

Our Rehabilitation Team includes professionals from both Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy.

Our Rehabilitation Services boast a state-of-the-art facility.  The department has over 2,300 square feet with a large gym area, an office, private treatment rooms, wound care room, a patient education area, and a handicap-accessible restroom.  We have several exercise machines and equipment including a treadmill which incorporates reverse and downhill walking, a Free Motion bilateral upper and lower extremity strengthening unit, Airforce bicycle ergometer, Cybex orbital ARC trainer, electric parallel bars, BOSU dome and pro fitter units for dynamic balance training and more. We also provide aquatic therapy services off site.


Physical therapy treats a large range of problems from neck and back pain to sports injuries.  Recent surgery, auto accident, balance or walking problems, generalized or specific weakness, work injury, urinary incontinence, or joint problems are all indications for physical therapy.  We also do complete lower extremity biomechanical evaluations and custom orthotic fittings.  As well, we treat woment's health issues including incontinence and pelvic pain and a wide variety of wound care.

On your intial visit to physical therapy, you will be evaluated by Bryan Doke, Seth Holt, or Tara Domkowski, licensed physical therapists.  Your evaluation will be specially tailored for your particular problem and any other physical concerns that you may have.  A rpogram based on your evaluation will be formulated in sonsultation with your physician.  A home program and clinical visits will be scheduled to meet your needs in the quickest, most efficient manner.

Occupational therapy works with any problem or disability which impairs a person's ability to funciton in day-to-day activities.  These problems include self-cares such as getting dressed, returning to a job, or performing leisure activities.  An occupational therapist is able to evaluate wheelchair needs, treat a variety of cognitive impairments such as fractures, nerve compresssions, tendon injuries, and various post-operative diagnosis, individualized programs for occupational therapy patients will be designed by licensed occupational therapist, Kwynn Gracey, OTR/L.

Occupational therapy hours:  8:00-5:00 Mon-Fri


Speech pathologists provide treatment for language, cognitive and vocalization proglems, as well as evaluation of swallowing difficulties.  Patients are evaluated by licensed Speec Pathologits.  The SpeechPathologist is contracted throught the Brown County Hospital.  Scheduling for Speech Therapy may be done through the Brown County Hospital Rehabilitation deparment.

Rehabilitation services are covered by Medicare, Medicaid, essesntially all private insurance and worker's compensation.  Call your insurance provider for specific plan information.
