In April 2008, Rehabilitation Services moved into a brand new state-of-the-art facility. The new department has over 2,300 square feet with a large gym area, an office, private treatment rooms, a whirlpool/wound care room, a patient education area, and a handicap-accessible restroom. We have several new exercise machines and equipment including a treadmill which incorporates reverse and downhill walking, a Free Motion bilateral upper and lower extremity strengthening unit, Airforce bicycle ergometer, Cybex orbital ARC trainer, electric parallel bars, BOSU dome and pro fitter units for dynamic balance training and a multiuse whirlpool unit.
The Physical Therapy Department treats a large range of problems from neck and back pain to sports injuries. Recent surgery, auto accident, balance or walking problems, generalized or specific weakness, work injury, urinary incontinence, or joint problems are all indications for physical therapy. We also do complete lower extremity biomechanical evaluations and custom orthotic fittings. As well, we treat women’s health issues including incontinence and pelvic pain and are expanding into a wide variety of wound care.
